Do Women Sleep More Than Men?
You all would agree that women need more sleep as compared to the men of the house. The bad part is that not only the sleep quality is bad but also they sleep for lesser hours. It is because of their routine or how they spend their day. Women are more dedicated to being involved in paid and unpaid labour, work, social responsibilities, and family caregiving. Let's take an example and understand- Women look after their families and work single headedly and they are more likely to wake up early as compared to the men of the house. In the process, they end up sacrificing their sleep.
Sleep works best- If you take adequate amounts of uninterrupted sleep during night, it works magically for you. During the full night's sleep, a human body cycles through various stages of sleep- from light sleep to deep sleep until the REM stage of sleep and then back again to the first one. With every consequent stage of sleep, a person tends to spend more time dreaming and cognitive body functions but lesser time in deep sleep when human body repairs itself. This is the time when sleep is interrupted and the body had to start whole process all over again, therefore, you lack REM stage or rest eye movement during the sleep.
