Assessment
Does your patient experience some of the common symptoms of SDB?
Screening
To aid in the screening process, evaluate your patient by asking a few key questions:
- Is the patient overweight?
- Does the patient complain of daytime sleepiness?
- Does the patient snore?
- Does the patient have hypertension?
Diagnosis
Sleep apnoea cannot be diagnosed without a sleep study being done. Refer your patient for a sleep study, either at a hospital, sleep lab, or home.
